Tara Voigt,CD(toLabor)
I'm a toLabor (formerly know as ALACE) Certified Birth Doula and volunteer for Operation Special Delivery.
I'm happily married and the mother of 3 wonderful, amazing children. I've been a La Leche League leader for 7 years and have many ties to the Northern Virginia community. I have been an active member of the Board of Directors of my children's preschool, PTA President of our local elementary school and currently sit on a commission in the Town of Vienna.
A woman should be encouraged to trust her body's ability to labor and deliver her baby. She should educate herself about the risks of interventions and medications as well as the possible benefits. A woman should feel empowered to make informed decisions based on information and what she feels is best for her and the baby. My goal is to facilitate a satisfying birth experience for the mother and her birth partner, whatever that means to her.
